Chambit Bookclubs, operated by Chambit Education Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), values the protection of members' personal information, and complies with the personal information protection regulations under the "Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc." and the "Personal Information Protection Guidelines" established by the Ministry of Information and Communication.

The company places great importance on the protection of members' personal information, and is making every effort to ensure that the personal information provided online by members when using the company's services is protected. The company informs you through its personal information handling policy of the purposes and methods in which your personal information is being used and the measures taken to protect personal information.

The personal information handling policy of Chambit Bookclubs may be changed at any time due to changes in government laws and guidelines or changes in internal policies of Chambit Bookclubs, and necessary procedures are established for continuous improvement of the personal information handling policy. Chambit Bookclubs collects the following personal information necessary for service application, membership registration, consultation, and normal service use.

• 2) During the service use process, user's IP address, cookies, service usage records, device information, payment records, and authentication codes can be collected.
• - Information about the user can be automatically generated and stored (collected) by the information communication service provider during the service use process.
• - Unique information of the user's device can be safely transformed so that the original value cannot be verified and then collected.
• - If cookie storage is refused, difficulties may occur in using customized services.
• 3) Additional personal information collection may occur during event entry and prize application processes within Chambit Bookclubs for service users.
• - If additional personal information is collected, users will be informed of 'the items of personal information collected, the purpose of collection and use, and the retention period of personal information' at the point of personal information collection and consent will be obtained.

• Chambit Bookclubs collects personal information through the following methods.
• - Personal information is collected when users agree to the collection of personal information and directly input the information during membership registration and service use.
• - Educational institution service applicants can generate "affiliated user" IDs and passwords through Chambit Bookclubs' LMS (Learning Management System). When "affiliated users" use the service with the generated ID, the "Company" collects the personal information after informing the "affiliated users" about the basis, purpose, items, and retention period of collection.
• - Personal information can be collected through webpages, emails, faxes, and phone calls during consultation processes via the customer center.
• - Personal information can be collected through paper during events held offline.
• - Chambit Bookclubs may receive personal information from external companies or organizations affiliated with Chambit Bookclubs, and in such cases, the affiliated companies obtain user consent for personal information provision before providing it to Chambit Bookclubs.
• - Generated information such as device information can be automatically collected during PC and mobile usage.

2. Use of Collected Personal Information

The company uses the collected personal information for the following purposes.

• - Used for contract fulfillment and fee settlement related to free trial or paid service provision, purchasing service rights and payment of fees, delivery of goods, and returns.
• - Used for membership management such as confirming the intention to join, verifying age, verifying user identity, identifying users, and confirming the intention to withdraw from membership.
• - Personal information is used for providing customized services based on analysis and statistics of service usage records (learning history) and access frequency, service use statistics, and service analysis.
• - Personal information can be used for marketing and promotion purposes such as providing event information and opportunities, providing advertising information, conducting surveys, etc.

The personal information you agreed to provide and collected will be used to send newsletters, product information, promotions, surveys, site function management, greeting messages, event notifications, etc., through phone calls, SMS, LMS, MMS, emails, mail, PUSH notifications, etc., for advertising purposes with commercial intent or for business and marketing purposes during the retention and use period.

3. Retention and Use Period of Personal Information

The company may establish individual terms and conditions or operating principles (hereinafter referred to as 'Usage Guidelines') for individual items within the service as necessary. In case of conflict between these terms and the Usage Guidelines, the contents of the Usage Guidelines shall prevail.

Matters not specified in these terms are interpreted and applied according to separate detailed terms and conditions or announcements of the company, basic laws on telecommunications, the Telecommunications Business Act, other relevant legal provisions, the intent of these terms, and general practices in the same industry.

4. Procedures and Methods for Destruction of Personal Information

• 1) The company, in principle, destroys personal information without delay when a member withdraws.
• However, if separate consent for the retention period of personal information has been obtained from the user, or if the law imposes a duty to retain information for a certain period, personal information is safely stored for that period.
• - Destruction procedure: Information entered by the user for membership registration is stored for a certain period after achieving the purpose according to internal policies and other relevant legal reasons, and then destroyed.
• - Destruction method: Personal information stored in electronic file format is deleted using technical methods that prevent the records from being reproduced.
• 2) In cases where the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc., the Electronic Financial Transactions Act, the Act on Secrecy of Communications, and other laws prescribe a certain period for information storage, the company retains personal information for that period in accordance with the provisions of the law, and does not use this information for other purposes.
• - Records on contracts or withdrawal of subscriptions under the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, etc.: retained for 5 years
• - Records on payment and supply of goods, etc.: retained for 5 years

• - Records on electronic financial transactions under the Electronic Financial Transactions Act: retained for 5 years
• - Login records under the Act on Secrecy of Communications: retained for 3 months
• 3) Personal information whose collection and use purpose has been achieved, such as member withdrawal, service termination, arrival of the agreed retention period of personal information, etc., is destroyed in a way that cannot be reproduced.
• - Information subject to retention duty by law is also destroyed without delay (within 5 days) after the expiration of the retention period using methods that prevent reproduction. Electronic files are securely deleted using technical methods to prevent recovery and reproduction, and printouts are destroyed by shredding or incineration.
• - Voice (audio) information collected when using the recording function service with the ID of "affiliated users" generated by the educational institution service applicant is retained for up to one month, and then securely deleted in a non-reproducible form, or deleted without delay (within 5 days) upon deletion request by the "user" or "affiliated user".
• - Gender, age, and voice (audio) information collected when using the AI Level Test with the ID of "affiliated users" generated by the educational institution service applicant is retained for up to one month, and then securely deleted in a non-reproducible form.



Chambit Bookclubs, according to the 'personal information validity period system,' immediately destroys personal information of members who have not used the service for one year or stores and manages it separately from other users' personal information.

5. Rights of Users and Exercise Methods

Users can inquire or modify their registered personal information at any time, and can also request deletion of personal information or cancellation of membership. Personal information that has been cancelled or deleted at the request of the user or legal representative is processed according to the retention and use period of personal information collected by Chambit Bookclubs and is not available for viewing or use for other purposes.

7. Scope of Application of This Personal Information Protection Policy

This personal information protection policy applies to the company's brand 'Chambit Bookclubs' (www.bookclubs.co.kr)' and related services (web/app and other online services, AI Level Test web/app services, recording services, coaching consultations, customer support, product shipping included).

8. Duty to Notify Before Amendment

This personal information protection policy will be pre-notified through 'Notices' in case of content addition, deletion, or modification. However, when significant changes occur that affect the rights of users, such as changes in the items of personal information collected or the purpose of use, they will be notified at least 30 days in advance, and user consent may be reobtained if necessary.
